Flat Pack Shoe
The brief was simple, design a shoe using only: 1 piece of felt, 1 piece of foam, and 1 shoe string. It should be easily manufacturable for a die, and must be assembled using only the shoe string. For prototyping purposes, start on paper and utilize the laser cuter for the final model.
With this project I was curious what it would be like to receive a pair of shoes completely disassembled. What if you could have a pair of shoes sent to you in an envelope? What if you had to assemble them yourself? What would this look like?
2-Piece is my take on a flat pack shoe. Despite felt lending itself more towards a moccasin or slipper, I wanted to challenge the material capabilities to create something just a little bit different.
